Jackson Smith shows
Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Jackson Smith is a writer, director, podcaster, video essayist, and all around cool dude. Growing up in an industry family, Jackson started making movies the second he was big enough to hold a camera. Cut to 2017: now he’s a graduate of Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film and Media Arts with a degree in film production and an emphasis in directing.
His short film “The Chocolate Soldier,” a WWII-era drama about a young refugee girl and her friendship with an American Soldier, has screened in festivals all over the globe, including Cleveland International Film Festival, Newport Beach Film Festival, and Camerimage in Poland.
When he’s not running around with a camera, he’s sitting down at a microphone, talking about movies with Adam Barnard. In 2018, Jackson and Adam started the “ScreenFever” YouTube channel, a platform to discuss, analyze, (and sometimes complain) about movies and TV shows across different platforms. You can find him on twitter at @jacksoncsmith95, where he does most of his complaining.
